Mobile Version-The new Android app, in beta, lets you add media from your phone and share your creations via the cloud. Web Version of Elements-A new website companion for Elements lets you see your media online and create slideshows and collages. Smaller Program Size and Faster Startup-Adobe claims that installation is 30% faster and program startup is 50% faster, thanks to the program taking up 30% less disk space. Peek-Through Overlays-A new Guided Edit that makes it look like the photo's subject is peeking through vegetation, flowers, or other overlays and blur the background. That makes it hard to find the one you're looking for, so thankfully this year's version adds search. Search for Guided Edits-These step-by-step sophisticated effects have gotten so numerous with more coming in years of Elements updates. It lets you animate a selected object in the image, rather than overlaying animated particles the way the earlier tool did. Moving Elements-This new feature is related to but different from Moving Photos.

Like Adobe's pro-level Creative Cloud applications, new features in the 2023 Elements version add web functionality and take advantage of Adobe's AI technology, called Sensei. Adobe's consumer photo editing software continues to make splashy Photoshop effects possible for novices. Photoshop Elements brings much of the visual magic pioneered by Adobe Photoshop to nonprofessional consumers.
